Hi,
American Idol is so utterly boring this year! There are only two singers that can be labeled as good. There’s absolutely no competition, and I already know the two runner-ups. American Idol is not even worth watching until the last two episodes. Don’t yawl agree? We all see things differently, but that's only my opinion. That new game show, where you must tell the truth, won't be on very long. I have never watched a show that makes you reveal secrets, that destroys people lives. Destroys and break up of marriages, friendships, and relationships with your parents. Money makes the world go around, but it shouldn’t make you stupid.

My First Love
Hi ,
I love all seasons of the year, but everything about spring and summer is an awakening in my soul. I love the sound of buzzing bees, flowering trees and lushes green grass. I also love the smell of fresh cut grass and can't wait until it grows to be cut again. Spring and Summer Rain is cleansing, calming, and rejuvenating . I'll spend hours in my flower garden planting, pulling weeds and transferring plants. Plants are just like children, they need sunshine, nutrition, and tender loving care. No-not one plant will be neglected under my care, so there's no need of jealousy in my garden. My senses all ways let me know when it's time to plant, so I never need a calendar. It's wonderful when you feel one with nature.

My Faith on Trial
Hi,
Today, I thought about this time last year, my mother was diagnosed with uterine cancer. The thought of my mother having cancer didn’t seem real or fair. My faith was tried in a way that you wouldn’t imagine. I fasted and prayed for a week that my mother’s life be spared, and I left it in God’s hand. During this ordeal, we happily traveled back and forth to ST Vincent Medical Center in Jacksonville Fl. After many test, Dr. Robertson found that he probably could retrieve this aggressive cancer. Guess what? He got all the cancer and mother didn’t have to have chemo. Everyday, I thank God for my mother’s life.

My Valentine
Hello,
I forgot to tell you guys what I got for Valentines Day. Well I was totally surprised, no stuff green frog that say I love you this year. My husband gave me three red roses, a red teddy bear holding two wine glasses filled with chocolate kisses. Not finish, a bottle of sparkling grape juice(suppose to be a wine sub) and a large heart shaped box of chocolates. Almost finished, dream angel heavenly perfume and lotion from Victoria's Secret. Yes, I was thrilled I guess he was making up for all those years that I didn't get anything. Last year, I did get an ugly green frog, yes I was grateful ,but he didn't put much effort picking me out a gift. I gave my husband a new rugged looking leather recliner for V-D, he loved it. I believe that every man and woman should feel special on Valentines Day.

A BUMPY DAY
Hello
Last Sunday was a day out of this world. I sprung my right wrist and my left foot getting out of the bath tub. As I were taking an epsomsalt soak, my daughter started screaming and I jumped out the tub and my left foot slid into the toliet, my right hand hit the countertop. I then put my robe on and hopped out the bathroom in pain. Destinee had the front door open still screaming and pointing. A seven year old boy had got run over by a golf cart in front of my mailbox. The cart was still on top of him, my son and the child mother got the cart off of him and called the authorties. Two eleven year old boys were driving the cart and horseplaying when they hit my neighboor child. I would like to know where were the parents. I never did see the parents of the boys when the sheriff and abulance arrived and left. The child is okay lots of scrapes and brusies no broken bones but he's hopping too. He was such a brave boy! We both had a bumpy day!

BEEP, BEEP !
Beep, Beep
I hate to blow my own horn, but I've finally mastered my barbeque sauce. I had the privilege of catering a city councilmen dinner party tonight and it was a blast. Made my famous unforgetable barbeque sauce with my grilled chicken. Sonny's don't have anything on me. Yes, It's just that good. Spent years perfecting my cooking, and by George I think I got it! It's feels great receiving compliments from prominent men of the community. They ate like little piglets and my head grew larger with each bite. After dinner, everyone thanked me for a wonderful dinner and ask for my business card. Not a bad night for an ole country girl. It’s been a long day and I’m coming off my high ,now back to the real world.

STEALING FLOWERS
Hello,
As I was reading the Rant & Rave today, came across an interesting article. A citizen raved that he/she put flowers on a grave just to have them stolen. VPD stated that it happens all the time. Yes, grave robbing, flower stealing thieves. What have this world come to? Someone tell me how low do you have to be, to steal flowers off a grave. This is the first time, I ever heard of such a thing. A woman in the doctor office told me that someone stolen her mother wagon, full of flowers too. But guess what they found out who did it. I had to ask her who was the slithering thief. She said," My sister and I went in a flower shop downtown to replace the stolen flowers; first thing we saw was the wagon my sister made, even had her name in it". GET OUT OF HERE! The flower shop stealing flowers, the flower shop stealing----WHOAAA! Who would ever believe that! That’s what you call a professional thief. I think it will be safer just to plant a tree.

LOST & ALONE
Hello everyone,
It's raining here today in South Ga and I'm in a lousy mood. I know I’m not the only one who ever feels lousy, part of life, I know! I have something I would like to share with you’ll, I feel like talking to someone, anyone. Why not you? I lost five family members last year and the pain of it lives with me everyday. I lost five people not one or two but five in the matter of one year. I deal with death on my job, but it's totally different when it comes with knowing a person all your life and suddenly their gone.

I lost five people not one or two but five in the matter of one year. I deal with death on my job, but it's totally different when it comes with knowing a person all your life and suddenly their gone.
My brother, a successful businessman, only 29 years old died of a heart attack, his first child born a month after his death; he never had a chance to embrace his son. Some days I can't hardly breathe thinking about him. My 26 yr. old male cousin just fooling around with a motorcycle, press the gas, instead of the brake and felled back fracture his skull, no helmet, he died. If you ever saw his smile, I swear you'll never forget it, I sure didn't. My proud handsome uncle 56 years old had prostate cancer, he hid it from us until he couldn’t take care of himself, and 4 weeks later he died. He was always the strong one, even to the end. My aunt 68 tumor of the brain, she was a gem; it all hit her in a matter of days. My 78 grandfather as he was driving down the road heart attack, no thank God he didn’t hurt anyone. He was known and loved my many. Oh how I miss his singing and praying, even at his age he was still working full-time. All this pain in one year! Words couldn't heal or ease my pain, but time makes everyday a little better. I often heard, that they were in a better place, that hurt me even more, you could have just took a knife and gutted me.The best place they could be is with me, I want to see them smile, make jokes, my brother raise his son, I want to tell them, "I LOVE YOU” embrace them and never let them go. Each one of them brought happiness to my life, which I’ll never forget . I often ask myself, what does one do when you feel lost and alone? My guess is just to live on!

Revising Drafts
Hello English 1101,
Learning how to revise drafts in English 1101 is challenging and fun. I’ve learned some valuable steps, would like to share them with you.
· Read your draft then put it aside. Time away from your essay will allow time to think differently when you read it again.
·Get honest, but critical feedback. Since you already know what you're trying to say, you aren't always the best judge of where the draft is clear or unclear. Let another reader judge it. Make an outline of your essay. Point out the main ideas in each paragraph and rank their importance.
· Rethink your paper. Based on what you did in the previous step, restructure your argument.
· Now that you know what you're really arguing, work on the introduction and conclusion. Begin your paragraphs with topic sentences, linking ideas in each paragraph.
·Proofread. Read aloud so your ear will pick up what your eye has missed.

BODY MODIFICATION "BREAST IRONING"
English 1101,
Last night a show name "Taboo" was on the National Geographic channel, on the subject of body modification . It was so unbelievable sickening! Methods used to radically reshape bodies in different cultures were examined in Cameroon, Africa. This show was about young African girls youngest as 8 years old put through torture because their mothers were worried that their daughters budding breasts would expose them to the risk of sexual harassment and even rape. Using a method called breast ironing would stunt their breast and prevent men from looking at their girls.
Breast ironing, is when you take a object like wood heat it up to 400 degrees and massage the breast for hours, everyday up to four months. Those girls’ screams were terrifying as their mother’s massage their breasts with hot objects, it was painful, very painful, and it can completely destroy their breast tissue. Can you imagine this happening to you? No, Not me! Makes me sick to think about the ignorance, but it's their culture.
This suppression of womanhood causes infections, scars and some can't even breast feed after birth. Young girls have to be proud of their breasts, because it is natural and a gift from God. Allowing the breasts to grow naturally is healthy and not forcing them to disappear or appear like magic. You have to wonder do people have any common sense. I thought common sense was universal no matter what country your in, but that’s not so.

I BELIEVE, I BELIEVE !
I believe I have a purpose and that it's almost fulfilled.
I believe in God and not just because he is the creator, he is righteous, unselfish, and love.
I believe in the Golden Rule, Do unto others as you have them to do unto you.
I believe if a man don't work, he don't eat and will steal.
I believe in not going to sleep angry, it will cause wrinkles.
I believe if I do good, good things will happen to me and if I do bad, bad things will happen.
I believe that there's nothing new under the sun, everything eventually comes around again.
I believe that there's a time and a place for all things.
I believe,

ARE YOU RICH ENOUGH?
HELLO,
Do you know if you don't have prestiage, power, or wealth that you are considered low class or even no class. I was in the doctor office last week and seen something that pissed me off. What was it you say? A couple walked in and you can see that they weren't short of money by far. I already knew who they were and there were a lot of people ahead of them including me.Mrs. L told the receptioinst how long must I wait, she replied, you have three people ahead of you maam. She said to her husband, I dont have all day Bill, He told the receptionist let me see the doctor...doctor greeted him with a smile and handshake....."COME ON BACK", Mr. L., I liked to have had a baby and I'm not even pregnant. I went and asked the rep why...she smiled and said I don't know. I knew what that meant it was just the idea is that money always talk. When the couple came out i was still sitting in the waiting area then he looked at me and said how are you, I smiled back and said great, have a nice day. Lord forgive me, I didnt mean a word I said . I wasn't great because they went before me and the smile was fake.......but I did want them to have a nice day but not at the expense of others.

GOD HEARD MY SIMPLE PRAYER !
Hello,
My daughter love for me to tell the story about when I was pregnant with her, how I dreamed about angels. Now, I would like to share it with everyone. When I was 3 weeks pregnant I prayed and ask God to name my baby and let her be healthy, wise above all and beautiful. Seven Months later, I forgot all about my prayer, but God didn’t forget. One night, I dreamed about 3 angels circling my bed singing and each one rubbed my tummy. I woke up the next morning and asked God, what ‘s going on? Heavenly angels visiting me!
A week later, I heard a still voice, a voice like no other, the voice was strong but soft it said, "Destiny". Everywhere I went, I seen the word Destiny, turned on the television and it was Destiny again, and read a book that same name Destiny. Then, I knew what God was telling me, to name my baby Destiny. That story makes me happy to know he hears the simplest sincere prayers! Destinee is now 13 years old, an honor roll student, likes to write prayers, angelic voice, beautiful and graceful; most of all she has a relationship with one that named her.
Be Blessed!
